Augustana is an inviting and dynamic church
that welcomes all in Christ's name.

Sunday Worship at 9:30 am
in the sanctuary and via Zoom

Augustana follows NYS and CDC guidelines about health precautions. Masks are now optional in the church.

We also 'Zoom' the service weekly, live from the sanctuary. Our Zoom congregation includes people from WNY, 5 other states, and another country! If you have friends or relatives who live out of town, now you can worship with them - you can both participate from your homes, or one person can worship in the sanctuary and the other can participate by Zoom. Learn about Zoom.

Our 'Cry Room' has re-opened. Children of all ages are also welcome to stay in the sanctuary throughout the service. We have resumed our Coffee Hours after the service on a limited basis. Contact the church office for the schedule.

Call or email the church office to begin receiving worship materials, if you would like Pastor Fred to pray for you or for a loved one, or if you have any questions.

Meet our Pastor

One of Pastor Fred's favorite bible verses is from Micah 6:8: And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with your God. Read Pastor's letter and learn more about his ministry at Augustana.

We have activities throughout the year for young people and adults. Read about our activities here.

The people of Augustana are committed to Outreach, including helping area refugees learn to drive, raising money for a Christian school in Sierra Leone, and collecting food for local pantries. Read about all the ways we share the love of Jesus.

Meet our Evangelistic Minister

Lance Scarafia is a Synodically Authorized Minister. One of his roles is to pray with people at the side altar after church.  Learn more about how Lance reaches out to the people of Augustana.

September Outreach Focus

Model Evangelical Primary School in Sierra Leone

Our Outreach focus for September is a Christian school that we support in Sierra Leone. It is an amazing project and we are so proud to tell you about it. Come to church any week to learn more about how Augustana's support has helped improve the lives of the children in a small village in Sierra Leone. This is a great and positive project that kids will enjoy learning about, too!

Hope and Healing: Christian Cancer Support Group

Next meeting: Tuesday, September 27, 3:00 - 4:00 pm, and via Zoom

This group is for those who are on a cancer journey or who have beat cancer and would like to help give hope to others. It will include a bible verse to reflect on, sharing as individuals feel comfortable, prayers for individual needs, supportive encouragement, and perhaps laughter to lighten hearts. The group will take place from 3 - 4 pm at Augustana on the main level (we have a chair lift for the 3 steps in our entryway), and on Zoom.  All participants must wear masks.

Contact the church office for more information or to receive a Zoom invite: (716) 832-5720 / augustchurch@yahoo.com .

Bible Study

The Book of Judges

Join us for our Bible Study on the book of Judges, Fridays 10:00 - 11:30 from September 9 - October 28. The group takes place in the lower level hall and via Zoom. The church hall is accessible by stairs or elevator. To participate on Zoom, contact the church office and we will put you on our Zoom invitation list: (716) 832-5720 / augustchurch@yahoo.com.

Each session stands on its own. No preparation required. Come and share, learn and grow.

Summer Outreach Outcome

Focus: Community of Good Neighbors

This summer we collected food for the Community of Good Neighbors mobile food pantry. On 9/13, two Augustana members delivered 15 bags of groceries! Pastor Kwame was very appreciative for the food, which CGN will use to help people in Buffalo. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!

Visitors and New Members

We invite all to visit Augustana, learn more about us, and ask questions. You can begin to think about how Augustana can impact your life and inspire you to positively impact others. At Augustana, we share the love of Jesus in our changing world.
